Before Your Appointment

We are looking forward to meeting you to help you get answers to your questions as you navigate your pregnancy decision.

At Women’s Choice Network, our medical team would like to share some questions that we will help you answer and a few health and safety tips to consider.

  1. Talk through your health history with a nurse:

    1. Am I really pregnant?

    2. Should I be tested for STIs first?

    3. Do I have any medical conditions that increase the risks during an abortion?

  2. Meet with an ultrasound technologist:

    1. Is this an ectopic pregnancy?

    2. How many weeks pregnant am I?

    3. Are there signs of a miscarriage?

  3. Our client advocates are here for you:

    1. How is an abortion performed?

    2. Do I know what to expect before, during, and after an abortion?

    3. Are there any risks or possible complications?

Getting answers to these questions gives you the tools that you need as you move forward. While online ordering seems fast and easy, the FDA does not recommend purchasing the abortion pill online as online purchasing could bypass important safeguards specially designed to protect your health.

A 2025 study by the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC) showed that about 1 in 10 women experienced serious adverse events from a chemical abortion. These events include sepsis, hemorrhage, infection, hospitalization, and even surgery.

One of the biggest benefits of starting with us is that you can ask questions and get answers without any pressure or cost involved. We are here to put you first.

We look forward to seeing you at your appointment. If you have any questions in the meantime, call us.
